Ok now that you know how to get ab muscles fast from the previous post, now let’s learn which exercises are important for overall ab muscles. We’ve gone over 10 different types of exercises that you can do, or add to your routine that will make your ab muscles from fat to ripped in no time.
• Bicycle crunches with over head weight: This is a great exercise to reduce excess fat, increase abdominal muscle mass, defines your ab’s outlining, exercises your oblique, strengthens most of the core muscles greatly, and last but not least gives V shape to your body.
• Side Planks: Although planks have many variations that are much beneficial, this type in particular increases your core strength, improves the balance of your body, and improves your concentration. Just get into the side plank position and hold the position for some period, on both sides.
• Fore arm planks: Fore arm planks is one of the simplest and yet more difficult to do exercise. But doing this exercise for some period strengthens your ab muscles upto a great extent.
• Superman Raises: This superheroic exercise is a great way of strengthening your lower back, glutes, overall core muscles, etc. And this exercise is also is an adjustment to all the ab oriented exercises that you might do.
• Weighted Sit-ups: Although some people have been saying that situps are the worst kind of ab muscle workout. But believe me when I say, everything has it’s own benefit. This sit-ups exercise greatly exercises your chest, back, hips, ab, and also strengthens overall core muscles, improves stability and flexibility and fixes your posture, and most importantly this increases abdominal muscle mass(ab), and helps make tighter ab.
• Running planks: I personally love this exercise, and is a best way to strengthen your core muscles, increase your core muscles too, and for burning fat as this is a very effective cardio workout too.
• Burpees: Although this exercise has been named differently and performed a bit differently in different parts of the world. Yet it is a very good exercise for overall body workout when focusing on ab muscles and does a adjustable workout for the whole body, this is a very good exercise for high intensity interval training, and is one of the best core muscle exercises.
• Lunges: This workout is a great way to improve your posture and Balance, as this even strengthens your core muscles and builds ab muscles. Just like it is considered as a great leg workout, it is also great for the abdominal muscle.
• Reverse crunches: Reverse crunches is an exercise that gives V shape to your body, and it workouts the whole abdominal muscles (six packs)
• Mountain climbers: This exercise is a great way to end your ab workout. Unlike the running plank, this exercise workouts the whole body, strengthens core muscles, builds cardio endurance, and builds agility too. That’s why I consider this as the best exercise to complete your ab workout.
Note: In those exercises listed where weight is required, simply use any water can or a bag loaded with stuffs.
